With our newest feature “Push Monitoring” we are allowing you to enable reverse monitoring which will give you a whole new angle on the experience. Instead of us contacting your server at certain intervals, you can now configure a push to us.
Simply log in to your StatusCake account to start using this impressive function straight away! It’s simple to setup a push no matter what your development environment is like. We’ve even made a few code samples for you to use that you can check out here
To set this up choose the “New Test” button, and select “PUSH” under Test Type. The settings that you will need to enter for this test are minimal compared to others and only Test Name, Contact Groups, Tags, Push Period (How long should we wait for your server to push to us before being down), and Maintenance windows which could be particularly useful for some more complex set ups.
Remember that to complete this task you will then need to view the test details and copy the link at the top (which is used to send the PUSH) into whichever method you have chosen. You should see results of this start to come in almost instantly if successful.
